The NUKI candle bowl is the latest member of the ART PIECE collection, based on Mette’s own ceramic craftings. This particular design is based on the Kurinuki technique, which is an old traditional Japanese pottery art, which implies hand-building and carving from a single block of clay.
Like the other items of the ART PIECE collection, NUKI is based on Mette Ditmer's own, hand-shaped clay creations. The pieces are reproduced in stone resin, which is a composite material far less fragile than ceramic. Thus, the works of art can withstand everyday use. Each product is finished by hand, and will therefore always appear slightly different from the next piece, which further contributes to the unique expression of each product.
The bowl is not food safe.
